Human Resources Mission
Current State of Nevada Job Listings

The Department of Public Safety Division of Parole and Probation recruits and hires the most qualified applicants for sworn and non-sworn positions. The Division's Human Resources Department actively participates in recruiting qualified applicants by attending career fairs, local events, and speaking at colleges and universities. Once an individual applies for a position with the Department of Public Safety, the Human Resources Department assists in guiding them through all aspects of the hiring process inclusive of the required tests, interviewing, background process, academy process, hiring paperwork, etc.

The Human Resources Department also assists in many of the personnel issues involving current employees. We currently monitor Family medical Leave Act issues, grievances, Employee Management Commission Hearings, process transfer requests, facilitate promotional interviews, coordinate training academies with the Training Division, coordinate required physical examinations, etc.

the Human Resources Department consists of a Northern Coordinator, a Southern Coordinator, and two support staff. This unit is a cohesive team who work diligently to maintain adequate staffing levels, and provide current employees support with any issues that arise during the course of their duties. The unit acts as liaison with many other Departments and Divisions within the state system to insure the that needs of prospective employees and existing employees are handled in an expedient manner.
