Captured!
On June 22, 2006, Robert Butcher was pulled over by the Colorado State Patrol on a routine
traffic stop as the vehicle he was driving and the trailer he was towing had no plates. This
fugitive gave the arresting officer a false name and made every attempt to convince the officer
that he was not a wanted person. A routine check revealed the truck and trailer were stolen
from Arizona and Robert Butcher was a wanted person from the state of Nevada.
Robert Butcher was one of Parole and Probations most wanted fugitives since 2005. After serving
17 years for sexually assaulting and severely injuring a very young child, he was paroled in
April of 2005 and absconded almost immediately.
